Senior Sanitary Engineer

The Senior Sanitary Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of sanitary and plumbing systems for various projects. This role involves preparing design layouts, calculating equipment sizes, ensuring compliance with engineering codes and standards, and providing technical coordination to project teams. The Senior Sanitary Engineer also plays a key role in site coordination, technical evaluation of consultant documents, and providing support to the building maintenance department.
Responsibilities
- Design and Layout Preparation
Prepare design layouts for hot and cold-water supply, sewerage and ventilation, storm drainage, swimming pools and water features, and automatic irrigation systems.
Calculate sizes, ratings, and capacities for plumbing equipment, including pumps, tanks, sump pits, and sewage holding tanks.Conduct hydraulic calculations to ensure optimal system performance and efficiency.Ensure all design layouts comply with relevant engineering codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.Documentation and Technical CoordinationPrepare bill of quantities and plumbing specifications for project documentation.
Provide technical coordination and support to all trades involved in project execution.Prepare CADD layouts for sanitary plumbing trade to facilitate construction and installation processes.Site Coordination and InspectionCoordinate with project teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of sanitary plumbing systems.
Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with design specifications and quality standards.Technical Support and EvaluationAssist the building maintenance department by providing technical advice and support on sanitary plumbing system issues and concerns.
Respond to requests for information (RFI) and requests for action (RFA) from the construction department related to sanitary plumbing trade.Conduct technical evaluations of consultant drawings and documents for outsourced projects.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering & Sanitary Engineering, or a related field.Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification in Sanitary / Plumbing Engineering.Minimum of 10 years of experience in designing and implementing sanitary and plumbing systems for building projects.Proficiency in hydraulic calculations and design software.Strong understanding of engineering codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently.Seniority Level
