Business Operations Manager   – High-Growth Consulting Firm (U.S. Remote)

Schedule : 11 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM ET (FL time), plus 3 flexible hours daily

About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a boutique, strategy-led consulting firm that supports some of the world’s most innovative, science-driven organizations. Their clients are developing breakthrough therapies and advancing global health — and internally, they’re looking for someone to be the go-to person who keeps the firm running smoothly.

This is a hands-on, multi-functional operations role . You’ll support internal teams across finance, HR, sales, and IT, while ensuring day-to-day processes and systems work efficiently. You’ll be the first point of contact for operational questions, system access issues, and administrative requests — the person everyone in the firm relies on to get things done.

You’ll also oversee one direct report (an Operations Coordinator) and lead initiatives across finance, HR, technology, and client contracting.

What you'll be doing :

Support day-to-day internal operations across finance, HR, sales, and IT.

Act as the go-to point of contact for internal system access, troubleshooting, and process questions.

Assist with onboarding new hires, benefits administration, and HR-related processes.

Support project teams with operational needs, such as scheduling, documentation, and client-facing administrative tasks.

Help manage invoices, billing, and basic financial tracking.

Coordinate with vendors and ensure internal systems and tools are functioning smoothly.

Maintain documentation of internal processes, policies, and procedures.

Provide general operational support to ensure teams can focus on client work.

This is a hands-on, high-visibility role where your impact will be tangible — freeing up senior leadership to focus on client strategy while you design and oversee the systems that power the firm’s growth.

You’re an experienced, resourceful operations professional who thrives in a small, entrepreneurial environment. You enjoy being the person everyone turns to when something needs to be solved — whether that’s a system glitch, a process bottleneck, or a financial question. You bring structure, clarity, and foresight to how a business operates and scales.

• 5+ years of end-to-end operations experience within a U.S.-based professional services or consulting firm
• Strong financial acumen and analytical ability to forecast, interpret data, and guide business decisions
• Experience leading small teams
• A proven track record of improving and documenting operational processes
• Hands-on experience identifying and implementing automation or AI tools to streamline operations
• Excellent judgment, prioritization, and organizational skills
• Technical proficiency with :
• Microsoft Excel (financial modeling)
• Asana or similar project management tools
• QuickBooks, Gusto, or similar HRIS / finance systems
