We're looking for a dedicated Client Finance Assistant to join our team. In this role, you'll be the backbone of financial operations, providing essential support from daily bookkeeping to complex end-of-financial-year (EOFY) compliance.
What You'll Do : Key Responsibilities
As a Client Finance Assistant, you will manage a diverse range of financial tasks, focusing on accuracy, compliance, and client support :
- Daily Transaction Reconciliation : Ensure meticulous accuracy in financial records and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
- Reporting and Analysis : Prepare essential reports, including monthly aged receivable / payable, weekly cash flow, and budget reports with detailed variance analysis.
- Periodic Reviews : Conduct accurate End-of-Month (EOM) and End-of-Quarter (EOQ) reviews for clients.
- ATO Compliance : Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS), ensuring full compliance with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) requirements.
- Payroll & Superannuation : Accurately process client payroll, prepare payroll tax returns, and submit Superannuation Guarantee Charge (SGC) statements.
- EOFY Mastery : Prepare comprehensive EOFY working papers, financial reports, and tax returns for various entities, ensuring strict adherence to Australian Taxation Law. Finalize Single Touch Payroll (STP).
- FBT & Tax Planning : Prepare and finalize Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) Returns and deliver proactive EOFY tax planning reports with strategic recommendations.
- Client Management : Serve as a key point of contact, responding to client inquiries promptly and preparing management reports with actionable strategic recommendations.
- Regulatory Reporting : Prepare and submit the Taxable Payments Annual Report (TPAR) and ensure continuous payroll tax compliance.
The Objectives of Your Role
Financial Accuracy : Maintain precise financial records and complete all bookkeeping and payroll tasks accurately and on time.Timely Reporting : Accurately complete month-end reviews and management reports.Compliance : Ensure all financial activities strictly comply with relevant regulations and Australian financial standards.Key Experience
3+ years in an Australian accounting practice performing listed responsibilities.Experience working in an accounting firm handling multiple accounts.CPA Licensed.Accounting or Bookkeeping Diploma or Degree.Advanced Xero knowledge (any Certification from Xero required).Salary : $10 AUD per hour
