Job descriptionHands-on experience on database architecture and support. Knowledge on database security and data privacy. Experience with data backup / recovery solutions. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills. Strong technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Can work under pressure.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Work closely with software developers on the creation of stored procedures and database connections.
- Work closely with data analysts on providing raw data from the database.
- Assist on maintaining existing database software ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Perform regular database backups and recovery procedures.
- Monitor database performance and thresholds.
- Provide support for database-related issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving database performance issues.
- Collaborate with the IT team to address any system issues affecting databases.
- Perform such other task as may be assigned from time to time.
