The GBS Data and Analytics team comprises individual doers and collaborators passionate about applying cutting‑edge technology to solve real‑world problems. As a data modeler in this group, you will work directly with architects and engineers to create, optimize and document data models that translate complex business data into usable computer systems. You are expected to support the enhancement of data governance, quality and accessibility, ultimately empowering our organization to make data‑driven decisions and achieve strategic objectives.
Qualifications
- Graduated in (Business) Informatics, IT, computer science or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in analytics and data roles.
- Experience in data architecture, relational modeling and multidimensional modeling – modeling notations, Cobb model rules, conceptual to logical to physical data models.
- Proficient in SQL and a cloud‑based data warehousing platform such as Snowflake.
- Experience using at least one data‑modeling software such as SqlDBM, Erwin, ER / Studio, Power Designer, Enterprise Architect, Infosphere Data Architect, Modelsphere or Toad Data Modeler.
- Familiarity with master data and reference data concepts. Experience with an MDM platform such as SAP‑MDG is a plus.
- Business domain knowledge – Commercial, Consumer or Operations is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing and operations.Good communication skills with users and other technical teams to collect requirements, describe data‑modeling decisions and data engineering strategy.Ability to work directly with remote technical teams.Impact
