The Role

As Principal Animator , you’ll act as the bridge between 2D Animators and the Animation Director , overseeing animation direction, mentoring the team, and handling our most complex animations. You’ll ensure visual consistency, maintain our Spine structure, and collaborate with Artists, Developers, and QA to bring dynamic gameplay moments to life.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain and uphold Playnetic’s animation direction and visual style.
• Analyze game documentation and translate mechanics into motion.
• Collaborate with the Animation Director and team for style consistency.

What You’ll Bring

✅ Proven experience as a Senior or Principal Animator in gaming or interactive media.

✅ Mastery of Spine 2D – structure management, rigging, and optimization.

✅ Strong understanding of animation principles and gameplay integration.

✅ Excellent collaboration, organization, and mentoring skills.

✅ Passion for creating beautiful, high-quality, and performant animations.

Bonus points if you have :

✨ iGaming or mobile game experience

✨ Familiarity with Unity or animation scripting

✨ Experience developing animation guidelines and documentation
