Job Description
The Logistics Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the end-to-end logistics operations for a bespoke home accessories and furniture company, ensuring efficient movement, storage, and distribution of products. This role is responsible for managing inbound and outbound logistics, inventory control, warehouse activities, delivery scheduling, and coordination with suppliers, production teams, and clients. The Logistics Supervisor will ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of custom-designed furniture and home accessories while maintaining high-quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Logistics & Distribution Management
Plan, schedule, and monitor daily deliveries of furniture and home accessories within Metro Manila and periodic shipments to Cebu.
Coordinate pick-ups, deliveries, and returns with internal teams, clients, and delivery partners.
Ensure all items are packed, handled, and transported securely, especially custom and fragile pieces.
Warehouse & Inventory Control
Supervise warehouse operations including receiving, organizing, storing, and dispatching items.
Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management tools or ERP systems.
Conduct regular cycle counts and stock audits; reconcile discrepancies promptly.
Supplier & Production Coordination
Collaborate with production teams to track job orders, furniture completion timelines, and required materials.
Coordinate with suppliers for timely receipt of raw materials, components, and packaging items.
Monitor lead times and anticipate potential delays or supply issues.
Transportation & Route Optimization
Manage and optimize delivery routes to reduce fuel consumption, time, and operational costs.
Oversee company drivers, delivery teams, and third-party logistics providers.
Ensure proper documentation (delivery receipts, transfer forms, waybills) is completed and maintained.
Team Supervision & Compliance
Lead and supervise warehouse staff, drivers, and logistics assistants.
Implement safety standards for handling furniture, tools, and equipment.
Ensure compliance with logistics regulations, company policies, and quality requirements.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Prepare and submit logistics performance reports (delivery KPIs, warehouse metrics, cost tracking).
Identify areas for operational improvement and recommend cost-efficient solutions.
Support the development and implementation of logistics processes and SOPs.
Requirements
Education & Background
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, supply chain, or operations—preferably in furniture , manufacturing , or home décor industries.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of warehousing and inventory control procedures.
Experience with logistics planning, routing, and fleet management.
Proficient in MS Office; experience with ERP or inventory software is an advantage.
Familiarity with LTO regulations, delivery documentation, and local logistics practices.
