Shangri-La Boracay

Located in the countrys premier beach destination, Shangri-La Boracay is a luxurious and serene haven for vacationers. DUTIES :

Responsible for purchasing all requirements of the Hotel, and ensures that items purchased confirm to the required standards of quality and quantity at the lowest possible cost. Prepares list of possible suppliers with price quotations to ensure that the number of bids per item are adequate and also ensure market surveys are conducted periodically. Coordinates closely with the Cost Controller on par stocks in the General Store to ensure appropriate stock levels. Coordinates with Financial Controller on credit arrangements with the hotels suppliers. Initiates Purchase Orders and ensures corporate policies, procedures and internal audit guidelines are followed.

REQUIREMENT

• Experience as a Purchasing / Procurement Manager in an International Hotel / Resort is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, sourcing strategies and contract management
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
• Strong collaborator and work well in a highly fast paced and lean organization
• Display leadership, capabilities to formulate procurement strategies in procurement transformation, business innovation, sustainability, and productivity
• A self-starter,good team player, creative, highly-organized skills, and has eye for details
• Communicates and writes with fluency in English (as well as the local language)
• Entrepreneurial, high sense of urgency and accountability mindset
• Proficiency in using procurement software (i.e. SCM, SAP, etc.) and EPR systems
• Proficient in Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
