We are looking for a Senior Power System Engineer to join our Energy group. This role focuses on delivering high quality projects for our internal and external clients. Additional focus on continuing development and becoming professionally recognized in the industry.

What You’ll Do:
- Perform electrical engineering tasks including design calculations, data analysis, and use of specialized software for power system studies
- Manage design stakeholders to further best-for-project outcomes. Lead technical delivery teams.
- Work in close collaboration with colleagues across service lines.
- Plan, lead and coordinate resources and ensure project technical & commercial outcomes and client expectations are met.
- Communicate with clients about current work and future needs, provide timely updates on project progress.
- Supervise, support and train less experienced members of the team. Formally mentoring young professionals.
- Developing the team, contributing to keeping team knowledge up to date with technical, regulatory and industry trends.
What You’ll Do:
- At least 7 years’ experience in power system analysis and planning
- You will be able to demonstrate capability in power systems analysis software and tools including PSS/E, PSCAD EMTDC, Power factory, Matlab Simulink, and Python.
- Working knowledge of the Australian National Electricity Rules or similar grid codes relating to the expansion of the power system and the interconnection of new generating sources and/or the modification of existing ones will be beneficial.
- Knowledge and experience with primary and secondary systems, transient stability assessment, load flow and fault analysis, transmission system planning, generator connection and performance assessment, renewable energy systems integration, control system and inverter systems
- Broad experience in the use of power system analysis methods and processes, including load flow and short circuit studies, transient stability analysis, small signal stability and voltage stability studies.
