Senior AI Specialist

The Senior AI Specialist will lead the design, development, and implementation of AI-driven solutions to enhance business operations and client services. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI integration, ensuring solutions are innovative, secure, and aligned with BDO’s strategic objectives. The position also includes mentoring junior team members and contributing to the firm’s AI roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

AI Solution Development :

Design, develop, and deploy AI / ML models and applications, including large language models and predictive analytics.

Integrate AI functionalities into existing systems to improve efficiency and user experience.

Research & Innovation :

Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend adoption strategies.

Stay current with industry trends and best practices in AI and machine learning.

Project Leadership :

Act as technical lead on AI-related projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.

Facilitate meetings to clarify requirements and align stakeholders.

Governance & Documentation :

Develop and maintain AI policies, standards, and documentation.

Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and ethical AI guidelines.

Mentorship & Support :

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and analysts.

Offer Level IV support for AI applications and troubleshoot critical issues.

Qualifications

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Experience :

6+ years in software development or AI / ML engineering.

Proven experience leading AI projects and integrating AI into enterprise systems.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure preferred), REST APIs, and SQL Server.

Skills :

Strong knowledge of machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and programming languages (Python, .NET).

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Certifications (Preferred) :

AI / ML certifications (e.g., Microsoft AI Engineer, AWS Machine Learning)
