Environment Officer (Reliever)

The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Companys only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine with over 800 employees that support the mine.

OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified experienced and reliable Environment - Officer (Reliever) to assist in the development implementation monitoring and evaluation of the in-house Environment Laboratory operations monitor OGPIs Pollution Control Facilities recommend strategies for continuous improvements and communicate findings to the concerned Teams and establish and implement a systematic proactive and effective environmental processes and programs for the attainment of zero harm to workers environment and communities related to environmental monitoring assessment research and studies. He / she will ensure Didipio Mine environmental management practices aligns with OGC environmental standards and regulatory requirements. The role will report to the Environment Advisor.

Key tasks and responsibilities :

• Assists and participates in overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintaining accurate documentation for the Environmental Laboratory
• Engages in activities promoting environmental awareness and hands-on immersion experiences
• Performs environmental tests procedures and experiments applying and utilizing specialized skills knowledge and equipment in compliance with regulatory requirements

• Follows standards procedures and protocols in coordinating logistical and administrative arrangements to facilitate EMS planning
• Strictly adheres to budget as assigned
