Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Deltek ERP Administrator / Business Systems Analyst to take full internal ownership of our Deltek Vantagepoint environment. This role will transition Deltek administration from external consultants to an internal, accountable system owner. The role partners closely with Finance, HR, and Operations and is responsible for system configuration, reporting, documentation, and ongoing optimization. This is a hands-on ownership role, not a support or helpdesk position.
Key Job Responsibilities :
Deltek Administration & Ownership
- Serve as the primary administrator for Deltek Vantagepoint
- Own system configuration including : Project and WBS structuresBilling and revenue recognition rulesLabor codes, expense workflows, and approvalsSecurity roles and user access
- Manage system changes, testing, and releases
Business Partnership
Partner directly with Finance, HR, and Operations stakeholdersTranslate business requirements into Deltek configuration and processesSupport month-end, quarter-end, and audit activitiesIdentify opportunities to simplify workflows and reduce operational frictionReporting & Analytics
Maintain and enhance standard and custom Deltek reportsSupport financial, project, and operational reporting needsEnsure data integrity and consistency across reportsGovernance & Documentation
Document system configuration, business rules, and process flowsMaintain change history and system knowledge baseSupport Deltek upgrades and new feature releasesConsultant Transition
Absorb system knowledge from existing external consultantsReduce reliance on external support over timeEscalate complex or edge-case issues as neededKey Job Qualifications :
5+ years of hands-on Deltek administration experience (Vantagepoint preferred; Costpoint or Vision acceptable)Prior experience owning Deltek within an operating companyStrong understanding of project-based accounting and professional services billingExperience supporting finance teams during close cyclesStrong written and verbal English communication skillsWillingness to work partial US business hoursPreferred Qualifications
Experience with Deltek implementations or major re-configurationsSQL or reporting experiencePower BI or analytics tool exposureExperience transitioning ERP ownership from consultants to internal teams
