Role Overview

The Virtual Analyst will provide comprehensive support across pre-closing post-closing loan tape management reporting and financial analysis. This hands-on role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong Excel skills and an understanding of finance or real estate principles. The role directly supports portfolio management and underwriting teams ensuring data accuracy and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Closing & Pre-Closing Support

• Review and verify closing statements for accuracy.
• Conduct pre-closing quality checks to ensure all critical loan fields are complete and correct.
• Update post-closing trackers and loan tapes to support portfolio management.

Loan Tape & Dashboard Management

• Maintain and update loan tapes with key deal attributes.
• Populate required fields for internal dashboards and reporting.

Reporting & Operations

• Generate process and validate reports using established internal workflows.
• Review monthly remittance reports to confirm amounts and accuracy.

Loan Sizing & Financial Analysis

• Conduct preliminary financial analysis and sizing for prospective loan submissions.

Data & Process Management

• Update deal trackers and create standardized deal folders using existing macros and tools.

Exception Forms

• Generate exception forms for the underwriting team.

Quality Control

• Ensure a high level of accuracy and consistency across all deliverables with attention to numerical data and written details.

Hard Skills

• Bachelors degree in accounting finance or a related field.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel (macros formulas pivot tables) and familiarity with Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with financial or real estate reporting preferred.

Soft Skills

• Effective written and verbal communication.
