Delivery Driver

Key Responsibilities

Safe Transportation :

Driving the delivery vehicle safely, adhering to traffic laws, and securing cargo to prevent damage during transit.

Loading & Unloading :

Safely loading items from a warehouse or origin point into the vehicle and unloading them at the customer's location.

Route Planning :

Navigating assigned routes efficiently, using GPS and routing information, and adjusting for traffic or other conditions.

Customer Service :

Interacting with customers in a friendly and professional manner, confirming deliveries, and resolving any inquiries or complaints.

Documentation :

Completing delivery records, obtaining signatures, and collecting payments when necessary.

Vehicle Maintenance :

Performing routine vehicle inspections, keeping the vehicle clean and organized, and reporting any maintenance needs to ensure it remains in good working condition.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Valid Driver's License :

A current and valid driver's license is a fundamental requirement for most delivery driver positions.

Clean Driving Record :

Maintaining a good driving record is essential for safety and to meet company standards.

Physical Fitness :

The ability to lift and carry packages, sometimes up to 50 pounds, and to get in and out of a vehicle frequently is often necessary.

Time Management & Navigation :

Strong organizational and time management skills, along with the ability to navigate routes efficiently.

Communication Skills :

Clear and professional communication with both customers and dispatchers.
