Job Summary
The Head of Learning and Development is a strategic HR leader responsible for building a high-impact learning culture across the organization. This role oversees the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of learning programs that enhance employee capability, leadership development, and business performance. With deep expertise in Talent Management, the role also leads key initiatives such as succession planning, high‑potential identification, and executive coaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute a learning roadmap aligned with the organization’s strategic goals and talent needs.
- Drive organization‑wide learning frameworks (onboarding, functional training, leadership development).
- Champion a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and self‑development.
- Leverage digital learning platforms, blended learning, and experiential development.
Talent Management & Succession Planning
Lead the organization’s Talent Management cycle, including performance calibration, talent reviews, and career pathing.Partner with People Leaders and HR Business Partners to identify, develop, and retain high‑potential talent.Oversee succession planning frameworks for critical roles and ensure leadership pipeline readiness.Build and maintain talent profiles and development plans for successors.Coaching & Leadership Development
Design and deliver coaching programs for senior leaders and high‑potential talent.Establish internal and external coaching frameworks, ensuring quality and alignment to business goals.Provide executive coaching and guidance to People Leaders in support of talent strategies.Facilitate leadership programs that promote emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, and inclusive leadership.Program Management & Evaluation
Oversee end‑to‑end development of L&D programs : needs analysis, instructional design, facilitation, and evaluation.Define and track key metrics to measure effectiveness and ROI of learning and talent initiatives.Manage L&D budget, partnerships with training vendors, and compliance‑related learning requirements.Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Psychology, Organization Development, or related field; Master’s Degree preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in L&D and Talent Management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Demonstrated experience in building leadership development, succession planning, and coaching frameworks.Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.Seniority level
