The Solutions Architect will play a critical role in shaping the technical landscape of our EdTech products. You’ll work closely with the product and engineering teams to design scalable, secure, and maintainable systems, while also mentoring engineers and championing best practices. As a senior technical leader in a fast‑paced startup, you’ll be hands‑on when needed and instrumental in building a strong engineering culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Design the architecture of new and existing products, ensuring scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
- Lead technology decisions and evaluate tools, frameworks, and infrastructure choices.
- Collaborate with product managers and cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Mentor and upskill software engineers through code reviews, design sessions, and knowledge‑sharing initiatives.
- Set and enforce engineering standards and practices, including DevOps, CI / CD, testing, and documentation.
- Participate in hands‑on development when necessary to support critical features or unblock the team.
- Guide cloud infrastructure planning, deployment, and cost optimization (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Proactively identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Support product roadmap planning with architectural foresight and technical estimations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2+ years in a solutions architect or technical lead role.Proven experience architecting web‑based or mobile SaaS platforms, ideally in EdTech or related domains.Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., JavaScript / TypeScript, Node.js, Python, React, etc.).Solid understanding of API design (REST / GraphQL), microservices, and event‑driven architecture.Experience with cloud‑native infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, etc.).Strong grasp of software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead technical discussions with both engineers and non‑technical stakeholders.Nice to Have
