Job Description

We’re seeking a skilled bookkeeper to take ownership of the financial operations for an exciting holiday home management company. This role offers the perfect blend of traditional accounting responsibilities and specialized property management system expertise. You’ll be instrumental in streamlining financial processes, managing weekly operations, and ensuring accurate financial reporting for a growing hospitality business. The position offers flexible scheduling, the opportunity to work with innovative rental property software, and the chance to build valuable expertise in the rapidly expanding short-term rental industry. You’ll work closely with the company leadership team and have the autonomy to implement improvements and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive weekly bookkeeping tasks and maintain accurate financial records
  • Process payroll and wages efficiently on a weekly schedule
  • Master and manage the Resly property management system for both weekly operations and month-end processing
  • Maintain and optimize QuickBooks accounting system with focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Handle all invoicing processes and manage accounts receivable and payable functions
  • Conduct thorough bank reconciliations and prepare financial statements
  • Support month-end closing procedures with specialized focus on rental property accounting
  • Collaborate with company director on financial strategy and process improvements
  • Requirements

  • Proven experience with QuickBooks accounting software (essential)
  • Experience with Resly property management system preferred, or strong willingness to learn specialized rental software
  • Solid foundation in bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Demonstrated experience in payroll processing and wage management
  • Proficiency in invoicing, accounts receivable / payable, and bank reconciliation procedures
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple weekly deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Experience with hospitality, property management, or rental accounting is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset

    Requirements
