We are looking for an IT Service Engineer (Nagios) who will undergo GECO Philippines’ Upskill Today Program , designed to equip candidates with the specialized monitoring and infrastructure skills required by our client. This opportunity is perfect for IT professionals who want to strengthen their expertise in Nagios , infrastructure support, incident management, and systems monitoring. The role includes 4–6 weeks of remote training , followed by 4 weeks of hands-on onsite capstone application , after which you will be deployed to our client under a hybrid work arrangement. Training is free , and you will receive your basic pay starting Day 1 .

Training Details
Duration : 4–6 weeks (Remote Training) plus 4-week Onsite Hands-on Capstone in Alabang
Training Coverage :
- Nagios Core / Nagios XI setup, configuration, and administration
- Monitoring onboarding / offboarding of servers
- Alert threshold configuration (UI, backend, Linux commands, config files)
- Linux fundamentals (CentOS / RHEL)
- Basic scripting for automation
- Infrastructure & systems monitoring concepts
- Incident management and IT service operations
Additional Upskill Today modules : Design Thinking, Business Analysis, Effective Communication, Modern technology stacks relevant to the project

Perform onboarding and offboarding of servers into Nagios monitoring.Configure, validate, and optimize alert thresholds using UI and backend Linux configuration.Administer, troubleshoot, and maintain Nagios Core or Nagios XI.Support the infrastructure monitoring environment and escalate issues as needed.Perform incident management, including L1 / L2 triage, resolution, and documentation.Provide IT service desk support related to monitoring alerts and system availability.Monitor system performance, availability, and service health.Collaborate with infrastructure teams to resolve system and network issues.Assist in continuous improvement of monitoring standards, templates, and procedures.What We’re Looking For :
2–3 years of experience in IT infrastructure support, monitoring, or IT service operations.Hands-on experience with Nagios Core or Nagios XI, including : Server onboarding / offboarding, Alert threshold configuration, Editingconfig files or managing settings via Linux CLIGood working knowledge of CentOS or RHEL.Experience in incident management and IT service desk operations.Ability to troubleshoot monitoring or system-related issues.Nice to Have!
