The HSE Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the implementation of health, safety, and environmental practices that comply with relevant regulations and standards in the onshore operations.
The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of HSE methodologies and demonstrate a commitment to fostering a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain HSE policies and procedures to ensure high standards of health, safety, and environmental management in onshore operations.
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate and organize HSE training sessions for employees to promote safety awareness and mitigate risks.
- Report and investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine the root cause and prevent recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations and best practices.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to HSE activities, incidents, and inspections.
- Work closely with site management to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the effective functioning of the HSE department.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.At least 5 years of HSE experience in onshore operations, preferably in the in the oil & gas EPC CompaniesStrong knowledge of HSE legislation, standards, and best practices.Proven experience in conducting safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.Effective communication and leadership skills.Certification in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH)Ability to develop and deliver HSE training and awareness programs.Experience in incident investigation and reporting.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Willingness to work on-site and travel as necessary.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently.Knowledge of emergency preparedness and response initiatives.
