Job Description
As the Finance Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities for our Philippine BPO office. You will play a crucial role in setting up and maintaining financial systems, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of the office. Your key responsibilities will include :
- Managing day-to-day financial operations, including payroll, accounts payable / receivable, and financial reporting.
- Setting up and maintaining accounting systems and processes tailored to a BPO environment.
- Ensuring compliance with Philippine tax laws, payroll taxes, VAT, and other regulatory requirements.
- Preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support decision-making.
- Collaborating with the Belgian headquarters to align financial practices and reporting.
- Handling financial audits and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Supporting multiple projects or clients with precise financial tracking and reporting.
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills :
Education : Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.Certification : Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Philippines or equivalent certification is preferred.Experience : 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a BPO or outsourcing environment.Technical Skills :o Proficiency in accounting software.
o Experience with Odoo or similar ERP systems is a strong advantage.
o Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for financial analysis and reporting.
Regulatory Knowledge : Strong understanding of Philippine tax laws PEZA and compliance requirements.Language Skills : Fluency in English and Filipino (Tagalog) is required.Soft Skills :o Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
o Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
o Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to establish financial workflows independently.
