The Role

As an Operations Assistant, you will support our freight operations team in managing air and sea shipments, coordinating with clients, carriers, and customs agents to ensure smooth customs clearance and timely delivery of goods. You will assist with documentation, shipment tracking, and day-to-day operational tasks, playing a key role in keeping freight operations seamless from origin to destination.

What you’ll be doing :

Assist in managing export and import shipments via air and sea, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with international shipping regulations.

Coordinate with clients, freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and customs brokers / agents to ensure smooth shipment flow and clearance.

Prepare, review, and verify customs documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, airway bills, and customs declarations.

Track and monitor shipments, providing timely updates to clients and internal teams.

Maintain accurate records of shipments, customs clearance, and client communications in internal systems.

Support the Operations team with administrative tasks, such as filing, scheduling, and reporting.

Assist in resolving shipment or customs-related issues, delays, or discrepancies, escalating when necessary.

What we are looking for :

2-4 years of experience in freight operations, logistics, or shipping coordination, with experience in customs clearance preferred.

Knowledge of export / import procedures, customs regulations, and international shipping requirements.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.

Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Familiarity with shipment tracking systems, freight management software, and MS Office.

Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Salary : Starting 40,000.00

13th-month performance-based bonus (After reaching 6 months of service)
