Branch Operations Head (Ilocos Sur)

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the branch, ensuring efficient and compliant banking services.
• Implement internal controls to manage operational, credit, compliance, and reputational risks.
• Ensure compliance with BSP regulations, including customer onboarding, AML/CFT rules, and loan documentation.
• Review and approve loan applications in accordance with bank credit policies.
• Monitor branch performance, prepare reports, and recommend operational improvements.
• Maintain relationships with regulators, clients, and the local community.
• Uphold high standards of corporate governance and ethical business conduct.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of banking experience, with 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a rural or thrift bank.
• Strong knowledge of banking operations, lending processes, and BSP regulatory compliance (e.g., MORB, AMLA).
• Proficient in risk management and financial analysis.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Background

• Experience managing a rural bank branch.
• Completed mandatory AML/CFT training per BSP/AMLC guidelines.
• Familiarity with BSP Circulars related to branch operations and consumer protection.
• Awareness of operational performance indicators in rural banking.
