About the Job
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Risk to lead the Operations Risk Governance and Control agenda across 10 Asia markets. In this role, you will drive the implementation and enhancement of control frameworks, oversee RCSAs, control testing, and audit preparations, and serve as the central point of reference for governance and control matters. You will identify and address emerging risks, guide markets in closing control gaps, and ensure alignment with enterprise-wide standards. Working closely with management, subject matter experts, and various stakeholders, you will promote operational excellence by embedding a strong risk culture, improving processes, and strengthening overall control effectiveness.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operational risk management.Proven expertise in Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), Control Testing, and Audit preparation.Solid understanding of core insurance operational processes, with hands‑on experience in operations or operational controls.Experience managing or coordinating activities across multiple Asia markets is a plus.Core Competencies & Skills
Deep understanding of operational processes, risks, and their impact on business performance.Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, assess, and close control gaps effectively.Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across levels and functions.Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical and control concepts clearly.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Visio, Access, Power BI, and SQL is an advantage.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted; updating / tailoring CV is highly recommended.
