Instructional Designer (6-Month Contract)
Remote | AEST Hours (Mon–Fri, 8 AM–5 PM Sydney Time)

Are you a creative and detail-driven Instructional Designer who’s passionate about transforming complex information into engaging learning experiences?
Our client, a leader in their field, is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer for a 6-month remote contract. You’ll play a key role in auditing, designing, and delivering impactful training content—while working closely with subject matter experts across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a training and eLearning designer to join their team.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit and restructure existing training content, SOPs, and documentation into clear, learner-focused materials.
- Design and build eLearning modules, micro-learning, and interactive content using tools like Articulate 360 , Captivate , or similar.
- Develop structured onboarding programs that accelerate time-to-productivity and ensure role clarity.
- Create assessments, quizzes, and scenario-based knowledge checks to evaluate learner performance.
- Work closely with subject matter experts and team leads to ensure training aligns with business needs and compliance requirements.
- Capture and edit instructional videos featuring tradespeople in workshop or on-site environments.
- Continuously improve content based on learner feedback, performance data, and evolving training needs.
What We’re Looking For
Degree in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, Educational Psychology, or related field.Experience with LMS platforms such as Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, or Cornerstone.Proficiency in tools like Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Storyline, Rise, or similar.Strong video filming and editing skills.Experience in designing assessments and performance evaluations.Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines effectively.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Self-directed, organised, and detail-oriented.A creative problem solver who can translate complex content into effective learning materials.Requirements
