Network Services Engineer

SUMMARY

The Network Services Engineer  plays a key role in ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performing connectivity for clients by supporting and troubleshooting complex network environments. This role is responsible for managing on-premise network stacks, configuring and maintaining next-generation firewalls, supporting VPNs and multi-site connectivity, and ensuring seamless integration across cloud and virtualized infrastructures. The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills across LAN / WAN environments, hands-on experience with Juniper, Meraki, and Palo Alto technologies, and the ability to work directly with clients to resolve issues efficiently. Success in this role requires excellent technical knowledge, clear communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while balancing multiple priorities and participating in on-call support rotation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Troubleshoot end user connectivity from / to office and datacenters.
• Support and troubleshoot on premise client network stack including switches, routers, access points, and circuits e.g. DIA’s and P2P.
• Be able to support any specific client requirements for voice / video / security from 3rd party Vendors.
• Create, manage, and troubleshoot next-generation firewall rules sets from vendors including Palo Alto, Meraki, and Juniper Networks.
• Support IPSec VPNs with a variety of hardware, policy-based routing and a variety of cloud based computing and multi-site, multi-platform connectivity.
• Be able to work directly with high profile clients to understand the needs and potential issues they are experiencing with network infrastructure.
• Record all work activities in a timesheet in our ticketing system (ConnectWise).
• Effectively communicate with both clients and peers ensuring timely responses.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
