Job Description
This is a remote position.
Schedule :
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9 : 00 am to 6 : 00 pm Eastern Time
- 1-hour UNPAID break
Job Responsibilities :
Financial Reporting :
Prepare financial statements and reports, and ensure accuracy by examining and analyzing accounting records, such as journal entries and bank statements.Auditing and compliance :Conduct field and internal audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.Financial planning and analysis :Analyze financial operations, develop forecasts, and provide strategic advice on cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and profitability to clients or management.Tax services :
Prepare and file income tax returns for individuals and businesses, and advise on tax planning to minimize obligations work with our Canadian external accountantInternal controls :
Develop and maintain cost-finding, reporting, and internal control procedures within an organization.Consulting :
Advise businesses on financial risks and management practices.Specialized services :
Perform other duties depending on the specialization, such as forensic accounting, business valuation, or managing a team of accountants.Required Skills & Qualifications :
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings and advising clients.Project management and leadership skills.Proficiency with accounting software and technology, including AI and robotics process automation for efficiency.A professional certification, such as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.Experience 5 plus yearsIndependent Contractor Perks

Requirements
