Financial Controller (Remote Part-Time Freelance Philippines)

FLAC is a growing U.S. nonprofit looking for a part-time Financial Controller to own day-to-day accounting and forecasting/budgeting so leadership has clear visibility into cash runway and grant funding needs.

Youll own:

• Weekly bill pay accounts payable (vendor setup invoice tracking clean documentation)
• Bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online (coding reconciliations journal entries)
• Month-end close and monthly financial statements
• Cash tracking simple dashboards for leadership (runway burn spending vs. budget)
• Budgeting rolling forecasts; scenario planning for how much grant funding do we need
• Grant/fund tracking (restricted vs. unrestricted; allocations and reporting support)
• Contractor payments basic U.S. payroll support (Gusto preferred)
• W-9/1099 tracking and coordination with U.S. CPAs for taxes/year-end filings

What were looking for:

• 5 years accounting experience supporting U.S. orgs (nonprofit a plus)
• Strong U.S. GAAP and ownership mentality (can run the whole finance function)

• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets (forecast models pivots/lookups

• Reliable proactive and comfortable working independently across time zones
