This is a remote position.

Schedule :

Monday : 9 : 00 AM – 2 : 00 PM

Wednesday & Thursday : 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM (30-minute unpaid break)

Client Timezone : Victoria, AU

Total Weekly Hours : 20 Hours

The Bookkeeper is responsible for providing accurate, up-to-date financial information that supports sound business decisions. This role also contributes to compliance, reporting, and, where required, strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

Process payments, invoices, and receipts, and enter data into accounting software

Prepare financial statements and monthly summary reports

Manage BAS, superannuation, and tax payments

Pay vendor invoices and reconcile bank accounts

Verify account accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and support Accountant with reporting

Prepare wages and employee expense claims

Ensure compliance with Australian tax law, including GST

Other Duties

Provide cross-departmental support (e.g., management, marketing, sales, accounting) as required

Preferred Skills

Experience in the disability / NDIS sector

Strong knowledge of Australian tax law, GST, and BAS

Proficiency in Xero

Requirements

Skilled at prioritising tasks and documenting interactions

Strong problem-solving and client resolution skills
