The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for the financial management of the organization. The role will report to the Financial Controller and is required to understand the business, its goals, and priorities.
What You’ll Do
- Managing the financial reporting for Axe Group along with the FC. This includes monthly, half-year, and full-year financial reports in accordance with AASB and IFRS standards, cash flow statement
- Financial reporting to the ASX, including compliance with ASX listing rules and continuous disclosure obligations
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Provide high-quality financial insights and reporting to the CFO
- Oversee the preparation of tax compliance obligations, including BAS, FBT, and income tax, and liaise with external advisors and the ATO as necessary.
- Oversee payroll
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes across the Group.
- Managing and overseeing the cash flow of the company and ensuring it has the appropriate treasury controls
- Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with corporate governance, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist the FC with managing the external audit process
- Drive improvements in financial processes, policies, systems, and controls to support business efficiency and scalability.
- Assist in developing the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Managing and overseeing the company's banking arrangements & hedging, and foreign currencies.
- Review and sign off on all material Invoices issued. This includes all License and non-routine client invoices
- Review and sign off on all material payments made.

What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who :
4+ years' experience in a senior financial accountant position with a proven record of successDemonstrated experience in ASX-listed environments and knowledge of ASX Listing Rules.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplineCA or CPA qualifiedStrong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS or AASB), and experience with complex consolidations and multi-entity structures.Experience working as an IT software vendor, preferably with a SaaS companySound decision-making skills based on accurate and timely analysesResults-oriented and metrics-drivenExceptional time management and able to solve problemsAbility to lead by example and demonstrate a strong sense of integrity, ethics, and dependabilityAbility to collaborate with upper management to organize, plan, and achieve company financial goalsProficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.Knowledge of Calxa reporting will be an added advantageExceptional interpersonal communication and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate and manage staff at all levelsBenefits
