Key Responsibilities Provide expert legal advice to
senior leadership on corporate, regulatory, and commercial matters
related to the power and energy industry. Draft, review, and
negotiate a wide range of contracts, including EPC agreements,
power supply agreements, joint ventures, procurement contracts,
land acquisition documents, and service agreements. Oversee legal
due diligence for new projects, partnerships, and acquisitions.
Ensure compliance with national and local regulations governing
energy, utilities, and essential service development. Manage
disputes, litigation, and coordination with external counsel when
necessary. Develop and implement internal policies, legal
frameworks, and risk mitigation strategies. Support government
permitting processes, regulatory filings, and project approvals.
Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting operations and
advise management on necessary adjustments. Mentor and supervise
members of the legal team. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Law
LLB / JD); must be a licensed attorney. 810 years of progressive
legal experience, preferably within the power, energy, utilities,
or infrastructure sectors. Strong background in commercial law,
regulatory compliance, and contract management. Experience dealing
with government agencies and regulatory bodies. Excellent
negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work
in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
