What You’ll Do

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation for construction projects.
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine material, labour, and time requirements.
• Source, liaise, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Assess and manage project risks, allowances, and contingencies in cost planning.
• Assist with preparing fee proposals, tenders, and progress claims.
• Work closely with project managers and site supervisors to monitor project costs and budget performance.
• Review design changes and variations, providing cost impact analysis and updated estimates.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market rates, construction materials, and industry trends

This role is ideal for someone who has a strong grasp of construction processes, preparing accurate cost estimates, analysing project specifications, excellent attention to detail, deadline-driven environment and ensuring our proposals are competitive and profitable. You’ll work closely with our project managers, designers, and suppliers to prepare accurate and competitive quotes for a wide variety of landscaping and construction works. What You’ll Do You’ll be the kind of person who : Prepare detailed estimates and bid proposals for commercial and high-end residential landscape construction projects. Analyze drawings, specifications, and project scope to identify cost-saving opportunities and potential risks. Coordinate take-offs and pricing for materials, labor, and equipment. Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes. Collaborate with project managers, designers, and operations teams throughout the pre-construction process. Lead bid strategy sessions and provide recommendations to executive leadership. Maintain estimating database and historical cost information. Requirements What You Bring We’re looking for someone who : 5+ years of estimating experience in landscape construction, site development, or related field. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry pricing, with landscape experience considered an advantage. Proficiency in estimating software is required, with experience in Cubit and Buildsoft considered a plus. Ability to read and interpret landscape and civil construction plans. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
