About the Role:
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for planning, monitoring, and reviewing maintenance activities to ensure manufacturing equipment is always available for production. This role ensures equipment performance and reliability are maintained at optimum levels, supporting uninterrupted production operations. The position also leads improvement initiatives, technical support, and capacity expansion activities to enhance overall efficiency and operational excellence.
What You Will Do
Ensure maximum machine availability and optimal utilization to support production targets.
Monitor and implement improvement projects to increase Machine MTBA (Mean Time Between Assists).
Lead functional improvement and cost-reduction projects to enhance efficiency and minimize expenses.
Support evaluation and introduction of new parts, equipment, and capabilities to improve machine performance and production flexibility.
Review and approve equipment operating procedures to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance.
Handle equipment selection, prepare procurement specifications, and develop equipment documentation such as Work Instructions, FMEA, and Troubleshooting procedures.
Ensure all machines comply with safety and quality requirements.
Conduct training for new equipment and share best practices with technicians.
Facilitate technical skill development to strengthen team capability.
Oversee spare parts management to minimize downtime and maintain equipment readiness.
Support capacity increases, package transfers, and qualification of backup products within the plant.
Maintain hands-on knowledge of Midend/Central Equipment (End-of-Line) including Mold, TNF, Strip AOI, Auto-Transfer, Marker, ETP, PENTA Master, and other automated machinery.
Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing.
At least 5 years of experience in a semiconductor company, in Equipment Engineering or Preventive Maintenance at Mid-End Assembly Lines (End-of-Line).
Proficiency in electro-pneumatics, electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems.
Knowledge of assembly processes and equipment.
Competence in statistical tools and analysis
Problem-solving tools such as 3x5 Why, PDCA, 4C.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Leadership and team management capabilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Effective communicator across various levels of the organization.
