Description :
The Laboratory Analyst is responsible for conducting routine physical and chemical analyses in conformance to standard methods and / or laboratory developed test methods, while maintaining a clean, orderly and safe work area.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Conducts routine analyses of physical and chemical test parameters on submitted food samples
- Utilize a wide variety of laboratory equipment including moisture analyzer, water active meter, viscometer, etc. to test for submitted food samples
- Ensures credibility and accuracy of results through quality control checks
- Conducts physico-chemical testing analysis on submitted Raw Materials for batch trial products, products with customer complaints and RM MSS Samples necessary for material qualification
- Performs quality assurance of received laboratory reagents and prepares reagents used for analysis.
- Reviews COA and conducts carrier inspection of delivered Raw Materials.
- Reviews COI on delivered Packaging Materials through dimensional analysis and actual testing at production lines.
- Maintains accurate and thorough records of laboratory procedures and results.
- Prepares samples for testing and evaluation.
- Prepares Laboratory Test Reports.
Qualifications :
Candidate must at least be a graduate of BS Chemistry or relevant 4-year science course / s.Preferably with at least 1 – 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing set-up, specifically QA / QC function is an advantage.With PRC License / Registered Chemist is an advantage.Must be analytical, self-motivated, can interact with people in all levels of the organization.Able to work with minimal supervision.Proficient with MS Office / WPS applications.Willing to work extended hours.Must be knowledgeable in physico-chemical analysis, sensory evaluation, laboratory practices, & GMP.
