A Payroll Manager is responsible for detailed processing and managing the compensation and benefits of employees, and ensuring strict compliance with the company and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the whole Compensation & Benefits team
  • Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Responding to any payroll-related concerns and inquiries
  • Compiling payroll metrics and dashboards
  • Preparing financial reports and periodic payroll reports for review by the management
  • Preparing and distributing income statements
  • Compiling and maintaining accurate records of payroll transactions
  • Reporting to management regarding daily activities and issues
  • Frequently reviewing tax and government regulations regarding salaries and payroll information
  • Working closely with the management regarding budget and expenses

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.
  • Five years of related experience in Payroll Management
  • Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with payroll software.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll practices and general accounting principles
  • Excellent communication skills and an outstanding eye for detail
  • Must demonstrate strong analytical thinking skills
  • Should possess strong knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Innovative, creative thinking skills to ensure the organization is providing a cutting edge client experience
