MetroMart is an on-demand grocery delivery platform. We enable customers to purchase their products online from their favorite local store and have these items delivered to their doorstep within 90 minutes.

As Mobile Technical Head, you will spearhead the design, development, and optimization of our iOS and Android mobile applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product, backend, and QA to ensure seamless and high-performing app experiences. This role requires hands-on technical leadership, strong architecture skills, and a passion for building scalable, consumer-facing mobile platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take the lead in establishing and growing the mobile development team from screening candidates, conducting technical assessments, to collaborating with HR in the hiring process.
- Design and implement architectural decisions and development standards for mobile platforms (iOS & Android).
- Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend engineers to define and execute new features.
- Ensure app performance, responsiveness, and security.
- Conduct code reviews, provide mentorship to junior developers, and enforce engineering best practices.
- Monitor mobile technology trends and recommend strategic improvements.
- Own and optimize the full mobile development lifecycle — from concept to release and continuous iteration.
- Assist in debugging and resolving production issues across mobile platforms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in mobile development, with at least 2 years in a technical lead or senior role.
- Proficient in mobile development frameworks (e.g., Flutter, React Native) or native (Swift for iOS, Kotlin/Java for Android).
- Strong understanding of mobile architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM, Clean Architecture).
- Solid experience integrating RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and SDKs.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and mobile deployment processes (App Store / Play Store).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferably with Experience in e-commerce, logistics, or grocery delivery apps.
- Familiarity with Firebase, analytics tools, and performance monitoring is preferred.
- Previous experience with unit and UI testing frameworks is a plus.
