Healthcare IT Support Specialist

The Healthcare IT Support Specialist provides enterprise-grade IT operations support for healthcare organizations, delivered remotely, securely, and in full compliance with HIPAA standards. This role is responsible for maintaining system uptime, supporting clinical and administrative staff, safeguarding patient data, and ensuring seamless IT operations across distributed healthcare environments.

The Specialist functions as part of a dedicated remote healthcare IT operations team, serving as a central nerve center for helpdesk support, EHR systems, security, vendor coordination, and IT process execution.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience in healthcare IT support, helpdesk, or MSP environments
• Familiarity with EHR systems, healthcare workflows, and clinical users
• Strong understanding of HIPAA, security, and access controls
• Experience with Windows/Mac environments, O365, VPNs, MFA tools
• Ability to triage, prioritize, and resolve issues under SLA pressure
• Process-driven with strong documentation habits
• Excellent communication skills for clinical and non-technical users
• Comfortable working in a remote, team-based environment that supports flexible scheduling across different time zones.
