Overview
The Alternative Investment Operations Director – Derivatives Services oversees global Derivatives Operations, Support, and Solutions teams across Asia, North America, and the UK . This role ensures the timely, accurate, and effective delivery of derivatives-related services, while leading transformation, risk management, and operational excellence initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Transformation & Change Management : Drive process improvement, scalability, and innovation across global derivatives operations.
- Operational Risk : Identify, assess, and mitigate risks; ensure timely issue resolution, audit closure, and robust business continuity planning.
- Service Delivery : Oversee delivery standards, KPIs, and governance processes to ensure consistent, customer-focused outcomes.
- Financial Oversight : Manage operational budgets, including forecasting and cost controls across regions.
- Leadership : Build and lead high-performing global teams, promote career development, and foster an inclusive culture.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with business units, custodians, and regulators to ensure compliance and alignment with business goals.
Preferred Qualifications
Education : University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management; professional designations such as CAIA, CFA, or FRM are an advantage.Experience :10+ years in financial services, with deep expertise in derivatives operations, collateral management, clearing, and trade support.
5+ years in a senior leadership role managing global teams across multiple time zones.Experience in shared services environments and budget management (forecasting, tracking, and reporting).Knowledge :Extensive understanding of derivative products (Swaps, Options, Futures, Forwards, etc.) and their accounting treatment in investment records and trading systems.
