Job Description of Senior Customer Service Representative-Import & Export

The Senior Customer Service Representative-Import and Export is responsible for managing and overseeing customer service tasks related to international shipments. In this role, you must ensure timely and accurate processing of import / export documentation, communicate with freight forwarders and customs brokers, as well as maintains excellent coordination / relationship with clients, suppliers, and internal teams. This position requires in-depth knowledge of international trade, compliance, logistic procedures, and exceptional customer service skills.

Official “Duties and Responsibilities” of Senior Customer Service Representative-Import & Export :

Monitors receipt of import and export transactions from agents and clients.

Monitors coordination with shipping lines, consolidators, and brokers for import and export transactions.

Monitors submission of pre-advice and FSI.

Monitors and checks confirmation of draft MBL / HBL / MAWB / HAWB.

Checks draft import manifest and monitor timely submission.

Checks and signs the prepared documents for issuance of Delivery Order to the broker.

Monitors the request of billing invoice from shipping line / consolidator / broker and filing of request for payment of such invoices to Accounting department.

Monitors Job Order folders.

Oversees billing invoice requests to Billing department.

Monitors the status of Container Deposit refund.

Monitors the status Pending Import and Export transactions via Google Sheet daily.

Monitors the delivery of cargoes to consignee for both import and export transactions.

Proposes resolutions to concerns related to import and export transactions.

Handles import and export operational concerns.

Monitors the attendance and Performance of Customer Service Assistants.

Inquires rates from shipping line / consolidator.

Provides import and export rates to clients based on SGEC Standard Tariff.

Prepares and submits monthly report to CAB & PSB (DTI) FTEB.

Updating and maintaining of records of shipping lines and airlines, & other related transactions.

Develop step-by-step guide for import and export.
