Job description

The Project Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of infrastructure related to waste management operations. This includes landfill cells, leachate collection systems, recycling facilities, waste treatment plants, drainage systems, dredging, and other related structures. The role ensures that all projects comply with environmental regulations, safety standards, and company quality requirements.

1. Project Planning :

o Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.

o Coordinate with stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.

2. Project Execution :

o Oversee the implementation of waste management projects, including waste collection, sorting, recycling, and disposal operations.

o Manage project teams, including staff, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to project plans and quality standards.

3. Resource Management :

o Allocate and manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure project efficiency and effectiveness.

o Monitor resource usage and make adjustments as needed to stay within budget and schedule.

4. Budget and Cost Control :

o Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting.

o Monitor project expenses and implement cost-control measures to ensure financial targets are met.

5. Compliance and Safety :

o Ensure all project activities comply with environmental regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

o Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify and address potential risks or issues.

6. Stakeholder Communication :

o Act as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

o Provide regular project updates and reports, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.

7. Quality Assurance :

o Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.

o Address any quality issues or discrepancies promptly to maintain project integrity.

8. Documentation and Reporting :

o Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.

o Prepare and present detailed project reports to senior management, highlighting progress, challenges, and achievements.

9. Problem-Solving :

o Identify and resolve project-related issues, including operational, logistical, or technical challenges.

o Implement corrective actions and process improvements to enhance project outcomes.

10. Project Closeout :

o Oversee the successful completion and closeout of projects, ensuring all deliverables are finalized and client requirements are met.

o Conduct post-project evaluations to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.

REQUIREMENT :

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Licensed Civil Engineer preferred).

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in civil works; experience in dredging, waste management or environmental engineering projects is an advantage.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software.

Knowledge of structural analysis, soil mechanics, and hydrology.

Familiarity with environmental regulations (DENR, EMB) and waste management best practices.

Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills

Willing to work in Parañaque Area and to be assigned in any sites
