Network Security Engineer

Overview

Role : Network Security Engineer with Tata Consultancy Services (locations : Philippines).

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and manage Next-Gen Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortigate, AlgoSec).
• Implement firewall rule optimization and policy management for secure access.
• Design and maintain DDoS protection using F5 XC, Anti-Bot, and Anti-DDoS tools.
• Integrate and monitor Threat Intelligence platforms (Trellix NX).
• Manage Network Access Control (NAC) solutions such as Forescout.
• Configure and administer Web Proxies (Forcepoint, Cisco WSA) for secure browsing.
• Secure enterprise email infrastructure using Cisco ESA and Trellix.
• Deploy and manage Web Application Firewalls (Cloudflare, F5).
• Implement micro segmentation strategies with Tempered Networks for Zero Trust.
• Provide L2 level support to troubleshoot and resolve complex network security incidents.
• Support SOC teams with threat detection, analysis, and escalation.
• Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and compliance checks.
• Optimize firewall and WAF rules to reduce false positives and enhance protection.
• Collaborate with IT, cloud, and application teams for secure deployments.
• Provide technical expertise in incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Develop and maintain network security documentation and runbooks.
• Create the Standard Operating Procedure and update the knowledge database documentation whenever required.
• Participate in weekly / monthly / customer meetings and provide activity reports.
• Automate routine security operations where possible for efficiency.
• Stay updated with evolving threat landscapes, tools, and industry standards.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR and NIST.
