Job descriptionwith at least 3+ years' administering IBM DB2 on Unix / Linux operating systems Proficient in IBM AIX , Unix and Power environment Fluent in DB2 programming language Proficient in database design and development Experience in performance tuning and optimization Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines Attention to detail and accuracy Flexibility and willingness to learn and adapt
Plan, deploy, upgrade, migrate, and troubleshoot DB2 system
- Ensure proper configuration and tuning of database system
- Ensure successful backup and disaster recovery processes for database system
- Perform restores as needed
- Configure automated database deployment
- Interface with the development team to aid in design and development tasks
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
