Job description

Qualifications :

Minimum of 1 year of experience coding inpatient / outpatient medical records in a BPO setting
Must hold a coding certification from AHIMA or AAPC (such as CPC, CIC, or CCS and COC)
High school diploma or equivalent required
Required to complete onsite training before transitioning to a remote work setup.

Responsibilities :

Reviews patient records and assigns appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes based on ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, or other authorized coding systems, ensuring compliance with coding standards and regulatory requirements.

Ensures accuracy in applying coding modifiers and takes necessary steps to resolve coding discrepancies or edits.

Follows the ethical coding principles established by AHIMA, maintaining integrity and professionalism in all coding practices.
