Job Role : Bookkeeper

Compensation range : $1,500 AUD - $2,000 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type : Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule : This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Role Overview : We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting operations across our growing store network. This is a hands-on role suited for a mid-level professional who communicates clearly, takes initiative, and enjoys improving processes not just following instructions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
• Perform bank, POS, and account reconciliations
• Accurately code transactions and allocate cost centers
• Maintain clean, up-to-date financial records
• Work with both Xero and a legacy POS accounting system
• Flag discrepancies, risks, and process improvements proactively
• Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders on financial matters
