Job description

Responsibilities :

Lead development and innovation of packaging for food, personal care, and home care products.
Design, test, and implement packaging solutions aligned with company goals, sustainability, and regulations.
Conduct feasibility studies and material assessments, and compatibility studies.
Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and technologies.
Manage packaging projects from concept to commercialization.
Collaborate with Marketing, Product Development, Operations, Supply Chain, external partners, and research institutions
Ensure timely, budget-compliant delivery meeting performance expectations.
Conduct packaging performance tests (stability, transportation, shelf-life).
Ensure compliance with global regulations, sustainability standards, and industry best practices.
Work with Quality and Regulatory teams to resolve packaging issues.
Identify sustainable packaging solutions (recyclable, biodegradable, lightweight).
Optimize packaging for cost efficiency without compromising quality.
Implement practices to reduce waste and improve supply chain efficiency.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.

3+ years of experience in packaging development, preferably in the FMCG, food and non-food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or consumer goods industry.

At least 3 years of experience in management / leadership or people handling roles.

Proven track record of managing packaging innovation and development projects.0

Strong knowledge of packaging materials (plastics, paper, glass, metal, etc.) and manufacturing processes.

Experience with packaging testing methodologies and performance evaluation.

Understanding sustainability practices and regulatory requirements in packaging.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Leadership and team management experience.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Good leadership skills.

Amenable to work in SJDM Bulacan.
