Work Arrangement: Fully Remote

Schedule: Evening Shift (5 p.m. to 2 a.m.)

At least 5 years of relevant experience and at least 4 years of relevant leadership experience would be needed for the job.

Job Overview

Power BIs effectiveness hinges on high-quality data management. We are looking for Lead Consultants with strong expertise in Power BI, particularly in data handling and architecture. Ideal candidates will have advanced knowledge of Power BI and its data components, such as PowerQuery/M, DAX, and dimensional modeling, along with foundational report development skills. Familiarity with SQL Server (including data warehouse design, SSIS, SSRS) and DirectQuery is a plus. Additionally, you should understand Power BI licensing options and be capable of advising clients on the best licensing strategies for their needs. Experience with Databricks for building, deploying, and optimizing data pipelines and workflows is essential. Strong communication skills are necessary to work effectively with clients, their teams, and technical specialists like database developers and software engineers. A solid analytical mindset, problem-solving capabilities, and a good grasp of both technical and business intelligence conceptsplus a commitment to staying updated on Power BI developmentsare key qualities. Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions with clients to determine reporting requirements
• Collaborate with clients to explain and select Power BI licensing options, highlighting benefits and limitations
• Design efficient star schema data models, including calculated columns and measures
• Develop Power BI solutions by importing data from multiple sources, creating reports, dashboards, and data models using DAX and queries
• Support clients in deploying Power BI solutions via the Power BI service, including configuring gateways, DirectQuery, DataFlows, and data refresh processes

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related fields, or equivalent professional experience
• Over 5 years of experience working with data and BI solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem (such as SSRS, Power BI, PowerPivot, PerformancePoint) or other BI platforms like Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Qlik, SAP
• Proficiency in T-SQL, data modeling, and report development using Power BI or similar tools
• Proven ability to design comprehensive Power BI reports with features like drilldowns, linked content, and nested parameters
• Advanced skills in creating dynamic measures with DAX
• Experience with data transformation and mashups using Power Query/M language
• Hands‑on experience with Databricks for developing and refining data pipelines
• Ability to communicate visual design choices and interaction features effectively
• Skilled in designing user interfaces that are intuitive and require minimal training
• Experience in gathering requirements and conducting focus groups to enhance business processes
