Front-End Application Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Front-End Application Developer to join our development team in Bogotá. You will play a key role in creating and maintaining user-facing features for our custom Django-based application hosted on Azure Cloud. This position requires a collaborative developer who can work seamlessly with both front-end and back-end team members to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain responsive, high-performance user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (React and Vue)
• Create and document user requirements for front-end features and functionality
• Write clean, maintainable code using HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript best practices
• Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end components with Django APIs
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to GitLab repository management
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Work closely with the team to translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Troubleshoot and debug application issues across the front-end stack
• Maintain and improve existing codebase while implementing new features

Job Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+)
• Hands-on experience with React and Vue frameworks
• Expert knowledge of HTML5 and CSS (including CSS preprocessors)
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating with back-end services
• Familiarity with version control using GitLab (or similar Git-based platforms)
• Understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development
• Knowledge of modern front-end build tools and workflows
• Proven track record of working effectively in a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members (front-end and back-end developers)
• Experience gathering and documenting user requirements
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience working with Django or Python-based web applications
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud services and deployment processes
• Knowledge of modern state management solutions (Redux, Vuex, Pinia)
• Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Vue Test Utils, React Testing Library)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
