Job Title : Head - Financial Controller, GSC Manila Job Location : Manila As Head Financial Controller - the role is responsible for the Finance function in the Manila Center and provide input to and lead implementation of functional strategy for financial planning, analysis, and management, advising the management team and influencing strategic direction aligned to global objectives, Group standards, accounting principles and regulations.

The role reports to the GSC CFO and has dotted line reporting to the local Center Head and is part of the center management team.

Key Responsibilities : Define Controlling strategy for the center including definition of plans, targets, processes and budgets considering center specific objectives, Group guidelines and standards, accounting principles and regulations Plan, organize and oversee delivery and quality of Controlling initiatives and activities including budgeting, forecasting and mid-term planning for the center to achieve financial transparency, to control center's financial assets, and to provide complete and accurate financial and / or non-financial information and records Direct and lead critical Controlling activities, initiatives and subjects across the center with significant impact on overall results and / or significant business risk potential Drive development and implementation of Controlling systems and processes that align with global business objectives and work across multiple business areas Set direction, lead development, implementation and adherence to accounting policies, programs and systems Influence wider financial strategy for the center and consult top management of the center on evaluation of ongoing and future business activities with regard to profitability and financial risk Identify financial risks for the center and provide timely advise to ensure risk management and early warning Present findings and recommendations to the top executive group / board including audit and financial analyst reports, profit and loss and balance sheets, and regulatory filings Analyze complex issues extensively, introduce and steer innovations and improvements in existing Controlling processes, systems, techniques and methods for enhanced effectiveness and efficiency, e.g. through digitalization and automation Influence critical stakeholders to reach an agreement where parties are skeptical or unwilling to accept new concepts, practices and approaches Deliver innovation that influences the way the center operates and its profitability Oversee building up reporting processes, collection of data and definition of KPIs, where applicable (e.g. for ESG Controlling) Stakeholder Management - Extensive contact and negotiating with other departments and 3rd parties with conflicting objectives Influence and challenge key stakeholders effectively Develop strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with senior DHL business leaders Influence others across DHL and externally as an internally and externally recognized thought leader representing the Group Champion cooperation and partnership to provide integrated solutions to problems Management responsibility - Lead multiple teams of lower level executives, senior managers, and managers Develop short to long-term (1-5 years) plans for optimizing the organization, function, or job-family and the talent required to execute strategies Required Skills / Abilities : Post graduate in Finance / CPA / CMA 8+ years of leadership experience in finance controlling Experience in logistics industry and / or shared services environment a distinct advantage Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent Communication Skills Excellent Analytical skills Negotiation Skills Strategic Thinking Project Management Skills DHL Global Forwarding, Freight (DGFF) GSC is a Great Place to Work certified organization and a proud recipient of multiple prestigious awards, including Top Employer in India, Top Employer Asia Pacific, Top Employer Global, and Top 20 most admired Shared Services Organizations in
