Senior Accounts Payable Manager
Schedule : Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week - 9am - 6pm (New York EST Time)
Fully Remote, Independent Contractor engagement
Our client is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Accounts Payable Manager to lead and optimize their AP operations during an exciting period of transformation. Following the recent implementation of a new AP system Brex, this role will play a key part in evolving processes, strengthening internal controls, and enhancing relationships with internal business partners and vendors. The implementation has already been finalised, you will be taking the step to improve anx fix any bugs / process for improvements going forward.
The position requires a proactive and hands-on leader with strong technical expertise, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to manage and develop a high-performing AP team. The AP Senior Manager will collaborate closely with onshore Corporate Accounting Manager and Finance leadership to ensure operational excellence, timely reconciliation, and accurate financial reporting across multiple entities and time zones.

Key Responsibilities :
Leadership & Daily Operations : Manage full-cycle AP processes, mentor your team, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
Process Optimization & System Management : Identify opportunities for efficiency, drive system improvements, and ensure compliance with updated workflows and policies.
Business Partner & Vendor Relations : Build strong internal and external relationships, resolving issues proactively and maintaining trust.
Financial Operations & Compliance : Ensure accurate coding, posting, and reconciliation, supporting audits and regulatory compliance.
Reporting & Analysis : Deliver timely reporting, analyze trends, and recommend continuous improvements to AP performance.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
7–10+ years in AP or Accounting, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience managing offshore or remote teams.
Strong ERP experience (Sage Intacct, Bill.com, Brex, NetSuite, or similar) and a track record of AP process improvements.
Fintech or high-growth company experience is highly desirable.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
A proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven mindset.
