Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining laboratory cleanliness and supplies
Responsible for running laboratory tests such as hematology, smears, and serum chemistry.
Blood collection on dogs and cats
Logging of laboratory tests
Filing of laboratory test results
Storing of blood samples

Work Environment (Laboratory)

Serum Processing Machines are available

Special test kits are available

Microscopy available

Reagents and other equipment are available.

Education

Medical Technologist Graduates have an advantage

Med tech undergrads or underboards accepted.

Licensed Medical Technologists have an advantage

Work Experience

Laboratory work in a similar industry is an advantage

Health Considerations

Must not be allergic to any animal type or allergic to common laboratory-related substances.

No anxiety about working with animals present
