Job Description

The Software Release Engineer (Release Manager) will work in our Release Management Hub team in Makati (Metro Manila), taking care of Avaloq software releases for our clients in Region Europe. You will build, configure, and deploy various software artifacts in test, integration, and production environments. You will be responsible for a defined set of customers and support them during various SDLC phases and go live.

Key Responsibilities

Involved in planning and rollout of various Avaloq products in controlled environments.
End‑to‑end accountability for successful delivery of releases into live environments.
Accountable for release scope validation with project managers and delivery managers.
Ensure technical validation of all releases is completed and reported for Go Live.
Create and manage implementation plan, release meetings and production cutover.
Responsible for software packaging, code merge and log analysis of Avaloq core and front platforms.
Collaborate with specialists from different areas for cross‑domain activities.
Build trustworthy relations with internal and external stakeholders.
Document and educate users on release, configuration, DevOps, and deployment management best practices.

Work schedule : Mid shift (up to 1 : 00 AM) with on‑call availability on weekends during release and Go Live.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

7 years of experience, 3–5 years in Release Management and / or Configuration Management, ideally in banking or financial services.

Experience with Unix, Oracle, SQL, Jenkins, Artifactory, Nexus, Gerrit, Bitbucket or other SCM tools.

Strong analytical skills and ability to automate recurring administrative activities.

Conflict resolution and stakeholder management experience in multicultural matrix teams.

Good written and spoken English.

Willingness to work weekend / shift and extended support beyond shifts for hot‑fix releases.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of Avaloq Front Platform, Mobile Application releases.

Experience with Avaloq ICE Release Stream creation and cut‑over.

Shell scripting, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Container Platform.

Agile, Oracle Cloud, ITIL certifications.

Comfortable with fast‑paced and complex environments.

Ability to write technical documentation (e.g., on Confluence).
